Welcome to the Korean Language Education Center at Sogang University! It is our great privilege here at KLEC to work with exceptional students and professionals from all over the world who wish to learn Korean as a second or foreign language for a variety of reasons.

We believe you will find our classes challenging but motivating. KLEC instructors always strive to develop and utilize teaching methods that encourage students to use Korean in real situations outside the classroom. Many of our instructors have completed coursework at the graduate level in Korean, foreign language education or other related fields. A number have also obtained PhDs.

One of the most important reasons students come to Seoul is to learn more about the life and culture of Korea. As such, the Korean Immersion Program at Sogang University KLEC includes field trips and out-of-class activities to local and regional sites of interest. These places are specifically where participants will have the opportunity to interact with Koreans and learn about Korean society and culture.
